CABINET DECISIONS TAKEN DURING THE CABINET MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER, 2018.
Cabinet:
- Noted that implementing the new rates for duty facilitating allowances for Public Officers would have implications on this year’s budget and over the medium term, which would require additional resources, and therefore Cabinet deferred the implementation of the new rates.
- Directed the Ministries, of Public Service, and of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, to review the allowances for Public Officers and prepare a Paper for Cabinet Consideration as part of the Budget for Financial Year 2019/20.
- Directed the Ministers of; Information, Communications Technology and National Guidance, Internal Affairs, Defence and Veteran Affairs, Health and the Attorney General to hold a Media Briefing at the Media Center on Tuesday 4th September, 2018 to brief the Public with regard to the recent incidents concerning the release of Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) and Hon. Francis Zaake Mutebi, for further medical treatment abroad.
