1.Cabinet approved the proposed rates of duty facilitating allowance 4 public officers.The revised duty facilitating allowances include; Night allowance, Safari Day Allowance, Lunch Allowance, Transport allowance & sitting allowance among others. #UGCabinetResolutions

The revision is intended 
a) To enable public officers cope with economic changes that have occurred since 2008 when the rates were last revised
b) To provide adequate facilitating allowances to enable public officers acquire the basic services for which the allowances seek to achieve
c) To support the team of lower cadre staff to perform their duties with morale

2 Cabinet Noted Uganda will hold a Fathers’ day Celebration walk & the 4th Annual Abstinence Celebration & Pride March (ACPM) on 23rd June, 2018 at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds under the theme “Fathers we need your support 2 abstain, have values & character”

The objectives of the celebration are;

a) To create awareness on the state of fatherhood in the country;
b) To sensitive fathers on their vital roles as fathers and leaders of the families/households and to build their capacity in the area of fatherhood and family leadership
c) To mobilize mothers, children and other family members to support and encourage fathers to play their vital role as fathers and leaders
d) To call upon upon fathers to support the youth in the development of values and character
e) To popularize abstinence, faithfulness, ethics, integrity, hard work, positive attitude towards life and positive character development as national values among the youth; and
f) To challenge the youth to become a new generation of youth who will live by our National Motto “For God and My Country

3. Cabinet Noted that Uganda will commemorate the 7th Africa Public Service Day on Friday 22nd June 2018 under the theme “Combating Corruption in Public Service Institutions through stakeholder Participation and Promotion of Ethical Leadership to realize the objectives of Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)”

4. Cabinet noted the efforts by Government to respond to the problem of street children in Uganda.
