Ministry and Estonian Centre for International Development sign E-governance MoU

The Ministry of ICT and National Guidance has today November 3, 2022 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV) to facilitate and strengthen collaboration between the two entities in the field of e-governance.
The collaboration seeks to develop a high-level roadmap for the introduction of e-government services in the Republic of Uganda along with recommendations for relevant ICT architecture and best international practices for e-governance.
The MoU that was signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance Dr.Aminah Zawedde and Mrs. Katrin Winter Advisor for East Africa Estonian Centre for International Development also aims to deepen cooperation in training, advisory services, and technology transfer as well as the implementation of innovative projects in the field of common interests and the expansion of markets in the ICT sector.
“This partnership will contribute to the Ministry’s efforts in supporting Ugandan innovators to develop E-solutions, said Dr.Aminah Zawedde during the signing ceremony.
Furthermore, Civil servants will also benefit from capacity building, such as trainings and exchange visits with focus on good practices on e-governance, cybersecurity and data protection
