The Minister said his intention was to have a strong and well managed national broadcaster that is able to cover the whole country, fully close the gap left by the private players and to help tell a true story about Uganda’s rich heritage.

Hon. Tumwebaze stated that “we believe we have the infrastructure, we have the people, we have the ideas and we have the drive to make this happen, as Ugandans”. The assignment to the committee is therefore intended to study, review and propose more efficient operations of UBC to achieve positive and impactful government communications and sustainable profitability.
